About Me
I’m Evelyn Fogleman (she/her/hers), and I’m an intimacy coordinator, writer, and content creator based in New York City. Before transitioning into intimacy work, I spent ten years in the film and television industry as an assistant director and stunt assistant. I completed my intimacy coordinator training through IDC under the mentorship of Claire Warden, Alicia Rodis, and Marcus Watson.
I have worked on various projects for Netflix, Marvel Studios, Amazon Studios, Warner Brothers, CBS, and A24 (among others). I proudly hold a SAG Award Nomination for my work with the stunt team of Daredevil for Netflix and a Directors Guild of America (DGA) Award for my work as part of the director’s team of Eighth Grade (Dir. Bo Burnham, A24).
As an intimacy coordinator, I utilize my broad understanding of visual storytelling in tandem with practical, consent-led movement techniques to give performers the tools they need to execute a safe, dynamic performance.
I also equip directors with new language that allows for free collaboration with performers in a way that is direct, inclusive, and, of course, consent-forward.
In addition to my storytelling tools, I bring to this work continuing education in:
· Mental health first aid
· Anti-racism practices
· Kink and underrepresented expressions of sexuality/sensuality
· Gender and identity evolution in our society
When I began my work in the industry, the role of intimacy coordinator didn’t exist, but the need for one did. And as this role came into being and began to grow, I saw the perfect opportunity to use my industry knowledge and expertise while creating a more consent-forward workplace for performers and crew alike.
And as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am always thrilled when this work presents me with the opportunity to help craft stories that better represent the full spectrum of the human experience.
